Quilter.
Creating Textures and 3-D Effects.
Date: July 26th and 27th. (two days).
Cost: $70, bring your own lunch.
The basic techniques of machine lace combined with inserted wires give
the fabric artist wonderful opportunities to add even more relief and
3-dimensional qualities to their works. Using free-motion stitching,
we will learn cut-work, working on cheesecloth, creasing and working
with dissolvable film to create our laces and then, how to further enhance
them by adding cords and wires to help them lift off the surface of
the work\. An experimental workshop with some basic technique learning
to start you off. Knowledge of free machine stitching is recommended.
Please pay for this class by May meeting.
I will open it up to the other guilds in May.
Want to take this class but not confident about
free machine stitching? Mickey will teach free machine stitching basics
between meetings in April and/or May.
Martha's work is displayed at the McIntyre gallery in Saskatoon. Please
